Peter and Nick have been working together for over 20 years providing consulting, counselling, coaching and developmental support to client in both public and private sectors. Their individual work has included assignments across Canada as well as to locations in the US, including Alaska, Central Asia including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, Europe including the UK, Italy, France and Switzerland and several countries in the Caribbean.

Clients include Federal and provincial governments, crown agencies and not-for-profit organizations, large and small public and private companies, as well as family businesses and professional associations.

Nick and Peter possess a combination of backgrounds, skills and experience that helps them take a holistic approach to organizational improvement and transformation. This approach is based on several unique approaches such as the RP5 Model for Leadership and Management; the 7 Step Organizational and Values Leadership Development Model, and the 6 stage team development framework.

Peter has been an adjunct professor at York University for 20 years, and for the last 2 years Nick has taught courses at the Executive MBA program and the MSc. program in Management Consulting at Grenoble Graduate School of Business.

President – EduVision Inc.

Nick Shepherd, FCMC, FCGA, FCCA, FCMI has more than 40 years of business experience and since 1989 has been running his own management consulting and professional development company, EduVision Inc. that provides professional facilitation and management consulting and development services to public and private sector organizations.

A Fellow of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Ontario (FCMC – Honour Roll), and Past President of the Institute, Nick is Past Chair of the National Certification Committee for all Institutes of Management Consulting across Canada; is Past Chair of the Professional Standards Committee of the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) and served as one of four trustees for Canada at the ICMCI. Nick has been a CGA (Certified General Accountant) for over 30 years and recently received recognition as a “Fellow” of the Association. Nick is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA UK), and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI – UK). Nick is a senior member of the American Society for Quality and Past Chair of the Quality Costs Committee of the Management Quality Division. Nick is also a member of Mensa.

Nick is a well known professional development facilitator, and teaches the national 3 day “Controllers Program,” and the 2 day “Advanced Controllers” program; Nick also presents many professional development workshops across Canada on an annual basis. In 2006 Nick received the President’s Award for Education from the Certified General Accountants of British Columbia.

Nick is the author of the book “Governance, Accountability and Sustainable Development” that deals with Governance issues for the 21st century, and is published by Thomson Carswell, and the “Controllers Handbook” (now in its 2nd edition) – these books add to a number of other books and articles that Nick has also written. Nick was one of a group of global contributors to the IFAC report on Sustainability entitled “Professional Accountants in Business – at the heart of Sustainability.” Nick has also authored the publications “Values and Ethics: From Inception to Practice,” “The Evolution of Accountability – Sustainability Reporting for Accountants” and a new publication “Unrecognized Intangible Assets: Identification, Management and Reporting” published by the US Institute of Management Accountants. Nick has also developed several Ethics courses for members and students of the Certified General Accountants and for Management Consulting institutes. A new book called “Reflective Leaders and High Performing Organizations” co-authored by Nick and Dr. Peter Smyth was published in February 2012.

Peter J. Smyth, MScEd., MSW., PhD., (C) OACCPP, brings with him thirty-five years of experience in the fields of Mental Health, Rehabilitation, Adult Education and Organizational Consultation. He holds numerous certifications in the various areas of Teamwork, Leadership, Coaching, Communication, and Problem Solving. He brings a unique perspective to leadership and change processes. He is a senior consultant and executive development specialist with EduVision Inc., a consulting and management education firm. As a Lumina Learning practitioner, he is qualified in the administration and facilitation of personal, team, and leadership development. A group specialist, he has devoted much of his professional career to the practical application of theory to practice in his work with groups and teams.

Peter is the Director of the Counselling Institute in Woodbridge Ontario, where he practices relational psychotherapy. He has been an adjunct professor at York University for the past twenty-five years and has taught at three other universities. As a corporate consultant and leadership coach, he has worked with a wide variety of organizations in both the private and public sectors, and also provides consultancy services to a number of medical and not-for-profit institutions. He is committed to personal and cultural transformation through the development of ethical and consciously collaborative environments that are motivational and responsive to both human and organizational needs for growth and change.

Peter has had a long professional relationship with the Ontario Government. In the past ten years he has worked with the OPS and various ministries and departments. He has served on the faculty of the Centre for Leadership, Cabinet Office, for the Senior Manager Leadership Development Program. This is his third year on the faculty of the Clinical Ethics Summer Institute (CESI). He has also served on the faculty of the Centre of Excellence in Critical Care Medicine (Mount Sinai / University of Toronto) as well as being an active member of the Teamwork and Leadership Critical Care Coaching Team (MOHLTC Critical Care Secretariat). He brings both wit and wisdom to his work.
